Exhibition, Holden Gallery, Some of my Work

During the past 2 weeks my work has been exhibited in MMU's Holden Gallery Cafe area with two other students; Bonnie Wan and Katya Korzon. Below is a photograph of my cut outs, this is borrowed from katya until I get my own images. (My work at the moment is mainly inspired from what is hidden beneath the sea, the movement and animals that live there).

This is the recent design that I have been working on - it is just a small experiment to see if it will work. Its something i may do for the degree show, but I'm not too sure about it. Underneath the template is Japanese paper.

She is a paper cut artist from Japan and lives in France. She cuts them all by hand and these delicate pieces are so beautiful that I am definitely going to start cutting by hand instead of using a scalpel.

During the first year of uni our course had the opportunity to get involved in a project that was set by Feng Feng - the exchange course between GAFA and MMU. The theme was The Story of my Body - I didn't base my final outcome of my body but someone else - I didn't think that I was interesting enough. Everyone at the end of the project had been given the chance to get their work published. However, only a handful didn't get their work published but we got our names mentioned!
